Professionally shot commercial images can benefit a company by making them stand out amongst the competition and generate new business. As an alternative, a company could buy stock images from the internet. These can be expensive and are often overused by other companies in the same line of business, as well as not being a true reflection of the business they are supposed to portray or represent.
DIY photography often results in poor quality images, which vary in style and which are shot without consideration for lighting, composition, their usage in a page layout with text etc. It can also be a waste of a company's time and resources.
In contrast, I offer a reliable, creative and professional photography service. My skills and experience enable me to produce high quality images, either on location or in the studio, to promote a positive image of the company or organisation which helps to sell a client's products and services.
I have the ability and experience to interpret and understand the client's brief, taking on board the client's creative ideas as well as offering my own. From this starting point, I work closely with the client to produce strong dynamic images that meet their needs and make them stand out from the crowd. My work generates a unique bespoke stock library of images for clients, that have multiple uses and presents the organisation and its staff in the best possible light.
Commissions that involve construction and urban regeneration projects not only call upon my photographic skills, but project management come into play as well.
I have often found this type of work calls upon a wide range of practical skills and knowledge. On a shoot, I have to allocate enough time to attend health and safety site inductions, arrange for the necessary access permits and plan my work to fit in with the construction schedule. My strong interpersonal skills enable me to negotiate with the site manager to get the best photo opportunities for the client.
The types of commissions I regularly undertake include:
I charge a flat rate pre-negotiated fee with no hidden extras which includes travel expenses if applicable, time spent on the shoot, post production, editing, and DVD burning.
