Architectural Commercial Photography in Manchester

Over the years, I have successfully completed a wide range of architectural commissions in the North West and nationwide which include:

• commercial and public buildings

Some sites may need more than one visit to shoot effectively, as great images of buildings need good light from the right direction to bring out their best qualities. Therefore, some flexibility with regard to timescales is desirable to ensure the client gets the best possible pictures.

I am a great believer in the importance of advance planning and preparation to ensure your architectural shoot goes according to plan. For this reason, I find it useful to check the following details with the client. Examples include:

• key features of the building
• where the sun sets and rises in relation to the building
• access to site or building
• the date for completion
• contact details of a site representative

My normal practice is to visit the location at least once prior to the shoot, depending on the scale of the project, sometimes at different times of the day and or the evening, not only to check for the optimum lighting conditions but to check for any flaws or obstacles which need to be taken into account. These could include:

• any builders' skips left on site
• furniture not being placed in the correct location
• incomplete landscaping features
• contractors' signage still on site

I charge a flat rate pre-negotiated fee with no hidden extras which includes travel expenses if applicable, time spent on the shoot, post production, editing, and DVD burning.
